about

Hello!A picture of me from behind. I am overlooking a Mountain View.

I'm Aly. I'm a fairly young part-time independent artist from the midwest. I enjoy experimenting with all sorts of different art styles, mediums, and products. Whether I am painting a canvas or a wooden box, I love working with my hands.

I have always been interested in art, but I never attempted to sell it until 2017, when I opened my Society6 and Redbubble shops. Since then, I have been slowly branching outside of my comfort zone. In 2020, I finally gained the confidence to start my own Etsy shop, and since then I have realized this is something I would like to take more seriously.

As of lately, I've been focusing on creating nature-inspired designs that center around animals, bugs, and flowers. These designs remind me of my childhood; I was insect-obsessed, and I spent a lot of time outdoors. They ultimately make me feel at peace, reminding me of nature walks and quiet summer nights.

I also really enjoy drawing household objects and food, but I'm really trying to get myself to stick to a fairly  consistent aesthetic after years of having no direction. Maybe I'll have to create more stores eventually..

I appreciate each and every purchase. It still helps me live my day-to-day life and encourages me to keep putting my work out there in the world. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I aim to be as transparent as I can be. Thank you. ❤︎

Aside from art and photography, I enjoy reading, traveling, interior design, film and television, thrift stores, and collecting vintage cameras.

I am also very interested in people! I have a B.S. in psychology, but I'm not sure if I'll ever use it career-wise. :)

Last but not least, I have two cats that take up most of my phone's camera roll. ❤︎

Thanks for stopping by! :)
